Can you remember, 'cause I feel the same now, Until the winter we'll be blooming this love." ~DJ Satomi - Waves ~> [link] This song has been a recent favorite of mine. ...not to mention the chorus lyrics (above) inspired this picture. xD Again with the Prismacolors... Loving them so much! But giant fills (like the water and the sky) get SOOO tedious. >.< I'm rather happy with the way the colors blended... Frankly, I have no idea how to color shade water, so I kinda guessed. It seemed to work. But you tell me.  I'm glad this didn't come out as bright as I feared... I tried to shade it so it actually seemed like it was night with glow from the moonlight. The background was the biggest work on this... Took me 2 nights and a bit of a day to do it... The character design was rather simple and was done rather quickly. I'm happy with how the poses came out too. ^_^ Anyway, lemme know what you think. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I'm still learning and experimenting with color shading and dynamics...
But considering this is only the third or so Prismacolor drawing... I'd say I'm coming along quite well.
And considering I haven't used any references to see how I SHOULD color, somethings working. O_o;;;

Well, at least I don't fall into the horrid proportion traps I used to all the time. (HUGE head. TINY hands... Ugh!)
I think I'll use sharpie next time for black. I used to use it for large fills... I know why too...
Resharpening is a bitch. (Had to five times during this, for the black)
...I also burned almost half my black Prisma. Aiya!
Imma need another one. xD

And yeah, I'm still happy with how smooth the water seems. I love how these pencils blend.
